ABOUT FITGUARD, INC. I started servicing fitness equipment, approximately one decade ago, out of a garage in South Sacramento under the name Fitguard. I had been previously working for a fitness equipment retailer and I had noticed a lack of service within the Sacramento Area. My idea was to promote preventative maintenance agreements for vertical market, commercial fitness facilities. At this time there weren’t any companies within the Sacramento Area offering this type of service. Within a few years, Fitguard was able to secure agreements with most of these facilities in Sacramento. Fitguard’s growth was primarily due to referral business. We focused on providing a high level of customer service and the word spread naturally. Fitguard today still strives to maintain this high level of customer service. In 1999, Fitguard moved to a large facility located in West Sacramento and went through incorporation. This facility was designed to accommodate Fitguard’s needs now and far into the future.
